Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites for On-Prem and Distributed Cloud WAAP solutions.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered automation, code review, regression optimization, and test reporting.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, SREs, and QA engineers across global teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality goals.
- Validate WAAP deployments across on-premises and multi-cloud environments, ensuring functionality, stability, reliability, and detection accuracy.
- Develop and execute end-to-end, functional, integration, and regression tests to ensure product quality and resilience.
- Validate AI/ML-driven algorithms for API discovery, classification, API protection, and security detection accuracy.
- Test and enhance API security detection capabilities, including OWASP API Top 10 attack identification and prevention.
- Troubleshoot issues in complex distributed systems and microservices architectures, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
- Identify, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, ensuring timely triage and closure.
- Build and maintain test environments, deployment topologies, test plans, and supporting documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in quality engineering, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging trends in AI, test automation, cloud technologies, and API security.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with a strong focus on product quality and reliability.
- Strong programming and automation skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, GraphQL, load balancers, and API gateways.
- Experience working with JSON, YAML, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, schema validation, and API testing.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, Docker, and containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience testing applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern DevOps practices.
- Proficiency with troubleshooting and network analysis tools such as Burp Suite, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Skills
- Experience validating Application Security and API Security controls against OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as ELK Stack, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Experience testing AI/ML-based systems and data science models in security, analytics, or related domains.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (Layers 3–7), including proxies, firewalls, and traffic inspection technologies.
- Exposure to penetration testing methodologies and security validation best practices.
