Toll Aviation is an experienced provider of crewed and uncrewed specialised operations and training, delivering both standalone and integrated solutions to support Government, Defence and the civil sector. Toll Aviation combines the operational and training expertise of Toll Helicopters, Toll Fixed Wing, Toll Uncrewed Systems and The ACE Training Centre.
Operations Controller | 2 Positions Available
Sydney Olympic Park NSW
We are currently seeking two Operations Controllers to join our team, supporting our National Operations Centre (NOC) and delivering real-time operational coordination across our aeromedical and aviation network.
As an Operations Controller, you will play a critical role in monitoring, coordinating and optimising daily flight operations. Working in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment, you will ensure operational continuity, safety and service delivery, while supporting key emergency services and government stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the centre of real-time aviation operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Live Operations Control
Manage daily flight operations across the network
Monitor and maintain operational schedule integrity
Lead disruption management and coordinate recovery activities
Crewing & Rostering
Manage crew allocation across live operations and forward planning
Adjust rosters as required and proactively resolve gaps or conflicts
Communication & Coordination
Act as the central point of coordination between key stakeholders
Liaise closely with internal operations teams, leadership, crew and external partners
Ensure clear, timely communication during operational disruptions or escalations
About You
You are a proactive and resilient operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You bring strong coordination skills, sound judgment and the ability to make timely decisions that support safety and service delivery.
Experience in aviation, operations control, logistics, or scheduling environments
Exposure to rostering or crewing systems (e.g. Air Maestro) highly desirable
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate under pressure
High attention to detail and organisational capability
Ability to work a full rotating 24/7 roster
