The Role
As Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role within Damen Group Control, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the group. You will act as a subject-matter expert on accounting and reporting matters, supporting senior management, auditors, and stakeholders with high-quality financial insight and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
- Ensure correct application of IFRS / GAAP across group entities
- Design, implement, and maintain internal control frameworks
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Assess complex accounting topics including leases, revenue recognition, impairments, and provisions
- Harmonise accounting policies, KPIs, and reporting standards across the group
- Support M&A, restructuring, and special financial projects
- Drive automation and continuous improvement of financial closing processes
Your Profile
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics
- Minimum 8 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or group accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles
- Experience with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g. SAP, OneStream)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
