General Description
The NDT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the non-destructive testing (NDT) activities during the SONG DOC Field Abandonment Project. The NDT Supervisor will have extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with a strong background in NDT, quality control, and team leadership.
Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive NDT plans for the project, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Oversee the execution of NDT activities, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and penetrant testing (PT), to identify and address any defects or anomalies.
- Manage a team of NDT technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of NDT services.
- Collaborate with the project management team, engineering, and operations personnel to resolve NDT-related issues and ensure the timely completion of the project.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive NDT records, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions, and provide regular progress updates to the client.
- Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and client communications to represent the NDT function and provide input on quality-related matters.
- Ensure that all NDT activities are carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, QHSE policy, Codes of Ethics and BV Group’s policies and procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Professional Diploma degree in Engineering, NDT, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with at least 3 projects as an NDT Supervisor on projects involving well head platforms or equivalent.
- Possess the following Quality Control Certifications:
- UT, RT, MT, PT Level 2 SNT-TC-1A or equivalent
- Any Level 3 SNT-TC-1A, PCN or CSWIP
- Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, and experience working with multinational corporations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle construction/QA-QC-related challenges.
- Excellent team management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Valid health certificate with a "fit to offshore work" conclusion and a BOSIET certificate or equivalent.
