We are looking for a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to grow our Heavy Equipment Rental offering across the UK.This is a high-impact role focused on winning new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and driving rental revenue growth. You will work closely with a well-established sales network while building your own pipeline of opportunities within sectors such as earthmoving, quarrying, and waste.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive rental sales growth by developing and executing a strategic territory plan
Win new business by identifying and engaging prospective customers across the UK
Grow existing accounts by introducing and expanding rental solutions
Collaborate with sales teams to unlock cross-selling opportunities and maximise customer value
Manage a strong sales pipeline, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships
Influence senior stakeholders with compelling, solution-led sales propositions
Own commercial performance, including pricing, negotiations, and contract management
Ensure smooth delivery by working closely with operational, finance, and support teams
Maintain healthy accounts by managing invoicing, receivables, and dispute resolution
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in plant or heavy equipment rental sales (5+ years)
Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets
Ability to develop new business and build long-term customer relationships
Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills, including C-level engagement
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and contract management experience
Knowledge of earthmoving, quarry, or waste sectors
Understanding of rental market dynamics and competitive landscape
Confident in sales planning, pipeline management, and opportunity conversion
Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (desirable)
Experience with Caterpillar equipment (advantageous)
