Job Description:

Are you passionate about quality, process improvement, and data-driven problem solving? We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality initiatives at our Delmont facility by driving process improvements, reducing defects, and ensuring products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

This role plays a key part in strengthening manufacturing quality systems through root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and collaboration across Production and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to improve manufacturing performance through technical problem solving and process control.

What You’ll Do

Drive Process & Product Quality Improvements

  • Analyze process and product data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes to reduce defects and improve product quality
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

Support Manufacturing Quality Systems

  • Create and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and PPAP documentation
  • Monitor incoming raw materials including resins and pigments to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Perform in-process and final product inspections
  • Maintain and calibrate metrology and inspection equipment

Lead Technical & Process Initiatives

  • Facilitate manufacturing trials, experiments, and process validations
  • Assist with new product introductions and raw material qualifications
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and support engineering change control processes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and process procedures

Collaborate & Train

  • Train operators on work instructions, inspection techniques, process updates, and metrology equipment
  • Partner closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify and implement improvements
  • Support cross-functional continuous improvement projects and problem-solving initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and DMAIC required
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience preferred
  • Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Familiarity with SPC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Technical writing and project management experience required
  • Understanding of ISO9001 quality standards preferred
  • Experience with metrology equipment and calibration preferred
  • Minitab experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The salary range for this position is $75,600-$94,500. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
