Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Administrative Foreperson

Job Status: Year Round Full Time

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $28.50 to 46.00+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

Coordinates the daily workflow of the Vehicle Maintenance Department. Distributes maintenance and repair work to technicians based on skill levels and mountain needs. Works with Vehicle Maintenance Manager and Vehicle Maintenance Service Specialist to create goals and objectives. Maintains communication with Internal Customers and Outside Vendors. Trains technicians in safe work practices and helps to develop skill sets across the team. Performs Quality Checks on completed work. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Distributes work to technicians based on skill level and mountain needs.  

  • Monitors job statuses during repairs and updates leadership with missed deadlines.  

  • Assist in the administration of the department through daily recordkeeping and documentation of work related functions.  

  • Department payroll timekeeping, work order time and materials entry, maintenance activity document creation/coordination and tracking, work order system development and reporting.  

  • Administer department training.  

  • Perform and document required periodic testing of fuel system/waste system and complete all mandatory record keeping and submit all mandatory reporting. 

  • Administer department financial activity recording and reporting in accordance with accounting/finance policy & procedure, departmental budgetary guidance and management directive. Including internal and external invoicing.

  • Assist the department manager with budget preparation and compliance. 

  • Administer the department Safety Data Sheet records, manual and training per current standards. 

  • Assist in administering tech dispatch, parts and material ordering, inventory management and warehouse stocking. 

  • Communicates in a clear and respectful manner to train co-workers in all areas of maintenance and repair operations.  

  • Assists in the training of Powdr Copper Mountain personnel in the operation of equipment, to include vehicle check out procedures and safe equipment use.  

  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness of work areas in order to provide a safe environment.  

  • Monitors department waste streams to ensure recycling and disposal of all products used in accordance with Powdr Copper Mountains guidelines.  

  • Updates departments with current timelines of repairs based on parts availability, technician availability and mountain needs.  

  • Monitors special order parts’ arrival dates and ensures timely installation of parts and returns made when necessary.

No direct reports, but responsible for giving direction and day-to-day oversight of all Warehouse and Vehicle Maintenance Service roles: Warehouse/Inventory Specialists, Service Specialists.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Education or equivalent. 

  • Must be of at least 21 years of age. 

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. 

  • Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions. 

  • Must have a valid US Driver’s license. 

  • This position may require the use of a mountain radio/walkie-talkies for communication 

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

  • Knowledge and expertise in the following areas: warehouse and inventory systems, proficient in Microsoft Word, Xcel, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint 

  • Experience in fleet operations preferred. 

  • Ability to operate learn and operate Asset Management System 

  • The ability to handle multiple tasks at once in high pressure environments.  

  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Fluency in the English language is required. 

  • Customer service experience.
