Sanford Health has immediate openings for BC/BE Nocturnal Hospitalists to practice in Fargo, North Dakota.• Hospitalist program established in 1998
• Full-time and part-time nocturnist positions available
• Teaching opportunities of residents and medical students in internal medicine, podiatry, psychiatry and transitional year programs, through the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
• 7 on / 7 off schedule; Hours: 8pm-8am or 10pm-8am
• Average patient volume is 16 patients/day
• Procedures are optional
• Open ICU (with 24/7 intensivist support)
• 80 specialty areas of medicine, including heart, cancer, women’s, children and newborns, orthopedics, brain and spine, and transplantation
• Brand new $494 million state-of-the-art facility opened July of 2017

The Adult Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting. This role focuses on the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree.Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Current medical license in each state of practice. State Controlled Substance License (if required by State) Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice. Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; or Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists
