Position Overview
The Order Entry Specialist plays a key role in our Order and Research Department by entering, preparing, and sending legal requests to custodians of records in order to obtain records on behalf of our clients. This position requires strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
Review legal requests to confirm accuracy and completeness before submission
Perform high-volume data entry with strong attention to detail
Research locations and facilities to determine appropriate record custodians
Prepare legal request packets using client preferences and internal systems
Track order components internally as needed
Communicate with clients via email regarding confirmations, questions, or status updates
Handle problem requests, research issues, and follow up as necessary
Perform quality checks on all documents, entries, and legal paperwork
Resend requests and additional documentation as needed
Coordinate faxing, mailing, and hand service of legal requests
Scan and save documents in internal systems
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
Experience in litigation support or record retrieval is a plus
