This role sits within the Learning & Skills Strategy & Operational Excellence (S&OE) – Learning Design Excellence team and reports to the Learning Design Excellence Manager. The role operates as a subject matter expert, delivering outcomes through own expertise and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Purpose of the role
The Learning Design Excellence Senior Advisor delivers high-quality learning design outputs and supports implementation of design standards, governance, and processes across L&S.
Key accountabilities
Deliver high-quality digital and blended learning solutions aligned to design standards.
Apply learning science principles to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.
Support end-to-end learning content lifecycle management.
Apply global design standards, templates, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with external vendors (e.g., Infopro) to deliver learning content and assure quality.
Apply AI tools and innovative approaches in learning design.
Continuously scan and stay updated on emerging AI tools and trends, and new features within existing platforms for learning content development; support with evaluating their applicability, accuracy, and potential value to improve develop efficiency and quality.
Use data insights to improve learning design efficiency.
Collaborate with partners to translate requirements into learning solutions.

Experience and expertise
Experience in instructional design or digital learning.
