We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Key Account Manager to join our team in and ensure we remain the testing partner of choice within the food laboratory sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives on delivering exceptional service, and is eager to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be based in either Clonmel, Tipperary or Cork.
The day to day
Respond to requests for quotations & customer queries.
Manage key accounts on both a technical and commercial level.
Build and develop customer relationships, developing a deep understanding of each client’s unique requirements.
Maintain internal relationships within the ALS teams across all aspects of operations.
Complete tenders for new business opportunities.
Manage price lists, implement price modification plans and perform account pricing reviews and negotiations. Support internal customers with pricing requests.
Support internal management team on both pricing and technical levels.
Stay current with industry and legislative developments as well as changes within the ALS group.
Seek out and convert new business opportunities.
Meet sales targets and participate and report into the ALS North Western European Sales Group.
Participate and collaborate with global ALS colleagues on Global tendering opportunities.
Develop and execute sales and business development plans along with account development plans for selected key accounts.
Manage and mentor the Junior Key Account Team.
The Essentials
Previous technical or scientific background is advantageous.
Prior experience in the food industry is desirable.
Experience in Client Sales is essential.
Excellent communications skills, with an ability to persuade, inform and negotiate.
A proficient level of IT competency.
Curious and solution focused.
Determined and tenacious.
Meticulous and methodical in your approach.
Willingness and ability to drive and travel to ALS and Customer sites.
