Instructional Assistant Mild/Mod I PT

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Provide one-on-one or small group instruction, reinforcing lesson concepts and adapting materials to meet diverse student needs.
• IEP Implementation & Data: Follow individual IEP plans to help students achieve customized goals, and accurately record daily academic and behavioral progress data.
• Behavior & Environment: Implement positive behavioral strategies to manage disruptive behaviors and cultivate a safe, respectful, and engaging learning culture.
• Student Supervision: Monitor and ensure student safety across various school settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, and buses.
• Collaboration: Foster trusting, confidential, and collaborative relationships with teachers and school staff to support student success.

Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.  Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
