Project Administrator

Description
The primary responsibilities of this position include providing administrative support and assistance to the management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support construction services with new construction projects in a variety of market sectors through the Spartanburg Division office.
- Communicate and coordinate contract document requirements with Morgan Corp. staff and contractors.
- Assist the Project Management Department with:
- preconstruction meetings, RFIs, project submittals, track and process change orders, and pay applications.
- quantity take-off, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
- subcontract and vendor invoice review and authorization.
- meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes when needed.
- 811 notifications and updates.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned/needed by the Division Manager, Project Management Department, and Estimating Department.
- Working with the Estimate Lead and Chief Estimator on pursuits of various sizes and scopes that Morgan Corp. would be pursuing. To include, but not limited to:
- Document Control to include uploading documents to standard bid folders/notifying bid teams/revising documents.
- Working with bid teams to solicit subcontractors and vendors, sending bid documents, and keeping a log of the correspondence.
- Assisting in pre-qualifications/proposals that would require document creation and possible content creation. Gather content from related departments and coordinate submission of financial information as required.
- Working between the Estimating Department & Contract Admin. to order Bid Ponds/Performance & Payment Bonds/Certificates of Insurance.
- Assisting in quantity take-offs as needed.
- Coordinate between the Estimate teams and Operations teams with project hand-off to include budget support, submittal registry, and RFI log.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 1 - 2 years of project administrative experience, preferably in a heavy equipment/construction setting
- High school diploma or GED required; 4-year Civil Engineering or other relevant degree preferred
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software programs, email, and intranet usage
