
Field Technician 1/Labourer
Job Description
As a Field Tech 1/Labourer you have the desire to learn and be part of our construction team as we construct wood frame residential housing. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and put in a hard day’s work, maybe even get a little dirty. This is an entry level position that will put the successful applicant on a path towards being a Superintendent.

A day in the life of a field technician 1/labourer:
- Exhibit a strong safety focused culture
- Maintain the building site in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
- Interior of all homes are consistently maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition
- Assist the Project Superintendent and Field Tech 2 with quality control inspections during the building process.
- Maintain a team environment through high-quality communication skills with trades, staff, and customers.
- Ability to take direction, and work independently and with minimum supervision
What you will bring to the table:
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to be flexible with time (ie start early, staying late as needed, working Saturday’s if necessary to accomplish a task)
- Good eye for quality and detail
- Demonstrates ability to be handy in a variety of tasks
- Take specific direction well and shows an ability to learn
- Has their own vehicle and basic tools
- Healthy and a willingness to do physical labour
- Demonstrates dependability
- Strong ability to multitask; be proactive
- Must have a sense of urgency and an ability to meet tight deadlines
- Well-developed communication skills
- Ability to react well under pressure and treats others with respect while solving problems
- Valid Standard First Aid, CSTS, and WHIMIS Certificates would be an asset.
- Post-secondary education/certification in the building trades (e.g., carpentry, drywall, finishing, etc.) would be an asset but not required

- Salary Range: $51,500 - $66,950 per year
