Job Description

The Package Manager is responsible for the overall management and delivery performance of supplier-provided goods and services within a project environment.
He/She ensures that supplier commitments are met in terms of schedule adherence, cost performance, and documentation compliance, while working closely with Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
The position reports directly to the Commodity Sourcing Team Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Supplier Delivery Management

  • Assume overall responsibility for order fulfilment activities for the assigned project scope.
  • Define the expediting strategy no later than the Notice to Proceed (NTP), in coordination with the Project Procurement Leader (PPLM) and the Project Quality Manager (PQM).
  • Ensure alignment of the expediting strategy with the project schedule, Engineering Procurement Plan (EPP), Master Time Schedule, and allocated budget.

Coordination and Performance Management

  • Coordinate and leverage expediting activities together with Supplier Quality (SQ) teams to maximize synergies across projects, suppliers, and sites.
  • Lead regular reviews of critical procurement packages with the PPLM.
  • Closely monitor expediting-related costs and ensure compliance with the Order Fulfilment budget.
  • Provide early warnings in the event of schedule slippage or delivery risks.

Operational Follow-up and Reporting

  • Confirm completion of deliverables and receipt of equipment within project tracking systems (PMX) to ensure accurate On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance reporting.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities related to Order Fulfilment.
  • Prepare and issue periodic consolidated reports (e.g., through digital tools such as SUMO), including delivery status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with Group processes, tools, standards, and methodologies related to Order Fulfilment activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Supplier Performance Manager is assessed, among others, on:

  • Complete and on-time delivery of project equipment and procurement packages.
  • Compliance with allocated budgets.
  • Effectiveness of mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Adherence to global processes and quality of data maintained in company systems.

Autonomy and Authority

  • Ability to make decisions and provide direction within the assigned area of responsibility, in alignment with project stakeholders.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management, commercial considerations, planning, scheduling, and industrial operations.
  • Experience in supplier management and delivery performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency with business systems, databases, and digital tools.

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in Procurement and/or Project Management, ideally supporting complex, high-value projects.
  • Strong contract management knowledge and experience.

Languages

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Power Generation, Heavy Industry, Nuclear, Aerospace.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.
  • Awareness of financial, legal, and risk management considerations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and adapt quickly within a project-driven environment.
