ChristianaCare Primary Care at Smyrna is located at 100 South Main Street in Smyrna, Delaware.
Primary Care at Smyrna provides extensive medical services designed for families, catering to both children and adults. The dedicated team, consisting of physicians and nurse practitioners, offers a variety of services, including primary medical care, gynecology and women's health, immunizations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and treatment for acute and chronic conditions. Additionally, the facility features an on-site pharmacy and the Swank Center for Memory Care, enhancing their comprehensive healthcare offerings.

Work Schedule:
Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am to 5pm
Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am to 7pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
