Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Field Service Engineer is responsible for on-site installation, configuration, debugging and acceptance of products or equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Respond to customer reports, diagnose and resolve software and hardware faults, conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance. Guide customers on the correct use of products, provide technical consultations, collect feedback and maintain good customer relationships. Prepare service reports or other documents, coordinate cross-departmental or third-party resources to solve the problem in the field.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Support MD instrument installation and maintenance.
  • Support MD instrument warranty/out warranty instrument repair and service.
  • Assist and guide CP service engineers to improve their service skills
  • Assist sales and application to ensure successful instrument demonstration.
  • Promote the service product (Contract, Compliance, PM…) / trade-in new unit for out of warranty case.
  • Improve MD’s customer satisfaction
  • About 40% travel time for customer care
  • Responsible North China service, base in Beijing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Over 5 years hands-on working Service experience for high value, high complexity instruments,
  • Understand service practices and service resource relationships/interaction.
  • Good English reading and writing skills, as well as basic oral communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills, can work with professional service software, Office and AI tools.
  • Having excellent communication skills, being able to focus on customer service, able to withstand setbacks and pressure, good at thinking, patient, and possessing excellent logical analysis abilities. Capable of adapting to business trips.
  • Bachelor or above degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Job experiences in bio-analytical instruments repairing will be preferred
  • Knowledge in maintaining instruments working with biological samples will be preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or working skill of electrophysiology will be preferred
  • Knowledge and/or working skill of high content screening will be preferred
  • Experience in Optical & Mechanical & Electronical system repairing would be a plus
  • Master in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or cell biology will be preferred
  • Familiar with Life Science instrument especially on microplate reader, microscope or high content product will be preferred.
