All about the role: 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Product Care department, you will be responsible for designing mechanical solutions and independently managing projects to implement the solutions in line with established objectives. 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be a part of Product Care (R&D) and will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical solutions from idea to production by independently managing projects in line with established objectives.   

 

What you'll do: 

  • Design and/or modify existing mechanical solutions related to the product (dishwasher) and independently implement the above-mentioned solutions into production to reduce costs, improve quality, and facilitate the product assembly process using specialized knowledge and experience. 

  • Implement solutions in accordance with the currently defined process and objectives, working in teams that are diverse in terms of function, geography, and culture while maintaining good interpersonal relations. Conduct the above-mentioned activities independently, optimally managing their own working time in line with project goals. 

  • Solve complex technical problems using existing solutions or identifying innovative new solutions, always utilizing the applicable procedures and rules defined for the position and department. 

  • Acquire knowledge, modifying and creating specifications for components and modules, and lead the homologation process for new ones by properly understanding test results and making final decisions on approval, derogation, or rejection of the approval process. 

  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and standardization of task execution methods using best practices, experience, and knowledge of internal and external business issues to enhance products or services provided to other departments within the organization and in contacts with suppliers. 

  • Provide technical support for projects (components/products) led (designed) by other functions in accordance with possessed knowledge and position in the organizational structure. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing and/or designing parts for mass production. 

  • Experience and knowledge in the following areas: 

- Preparing product documentation (components/modules/product) and/or process documentation. 

- Plastic material types and properties, and principles of designing plastic parts using available technologies. 

  • Advanced proficiency in the following applications: 

- Catia V5 and/or NX 

- MS Office 

  - MS Teams 

- Team Center 

  • Fluent in English and Polish. 

 

Where you'll be: 

You will be based at Electrolux office in Zarow (Poland).
