We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician III to join our growing team in Costa Rica. This position has a compressed day shift: Sunday - Wednesday from 6am - 6pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
- Ensure personal and company compliance with all applicable local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Design, Development, Transfer Engineers, and/or customers to gain a thorough understanding of the products being manufactured.
- Drive cost-effective manufacturing processes through effective management of product yields, material consumption, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and consumables.
- Conduct and document time studies to establish and maintain production performance standards.
- Support and/or lead product transfers, process validations, and new product introductions (NPI).
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve quality-related issues, or provide technical support during the resolution process as required.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar manufacturing technical role; experience within the medical device industry is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods, including tooling, workflow optimization, facility layout, assembly processes, and production equipment.
- Experience with Operational Excellence (OpEx) methodologies and basic quality tools, including 5S, Kaizen, Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams, Control Charts, Checklists, and Histograms.
- Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and effectively train and mentor others.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- High level of accountability and ownership.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate English (B1/B2)
