OVERVIEW
Lead and coordinator all planning activities related to the master production plan.RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain Master Schedules for the production of finished goods to achieve sales, inventory, and service level goals established.
Revise schedules daily to optimize plant efficiencies and maintain a high level of delivery performance.
Maintain long-range master schedules that serve as a foundation for site business plans and operational budgets.
Develop, revise and update capacity plans, identify bottlenecks and recommend actions for recovery.
Create production plans that optimize plant capacity and drive the material requirements planning system.
Plan and develop a realistic Master Schedule which conforms to internal and contract customer requirements while maintaining
Supply work order documentation for Manufacturing and Shipping departments.
Monitor material availability, track progress of production, and review factors which may affect schedules.
Monitor and action MRP prompts for work orders planning.
Negotiate alternative manufacturing and delivery dates, as necessary, based on current capacity with Plant Management, Sales, and Marketing.
Monitor backlog and rolling production plan for accuracy and ensure updates are made daily resulting in MRP system integrity.
Maintain open communications with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Shipping regarding schedule changes so that proper component inventory requirements can be achieved.
Plans all work orders and Purchase orders to meet internal requirements.
Coordinate implementation dates for engineering changes with Operational team.
Bill of Material and Labor Routing validation as needed.
Participate in new product launches and other projects related to production and supply chain.
Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with various internal and external customers, across multiple facilities.
Provide inputs into the overall site budgeting and forecasting processes.
Validate purchase order accuracy and ensure it's aligned properly with business needs.
Analysis of data and ability to communicate potential risks and resolutions effectively with business leadership and key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five to seven years experience in production planning · APICS certification desired
MFG/OPS experience desired
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or other related field
Minimum five years of experience in planning role in a manufacturing industry
Common sense and defined procedures to complete tasks in straight forward situations with supervision
Uses judgment based on practice and precedence with supervision
Selects appropriate alternative sources of information and utilizes them to evaluate situations, with supervision
Analytical thought needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision
