Position Overview
The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining, designing, guiding, and overseeing the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality end-to-end solutions within cloud and data-driven environments. The role ensures that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and future-proof, while balancing business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
This role acts as a key advisor to business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams, translating complex requirements into clear architectural designs and ensuring consistent implementation across projects and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Define and design end-to-end solution architectures based on business, information, application, and technical requirements
Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs
Define, document, and maintain architecture deliverables
Support and guide development teams in implementing architecture and applying best practices
Collaborate with enterprise architects, domain architects, and technical teams to ensure coherence
Ensure quality, security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability are met
Identify and mitigate architectural risks and provide expert-level guidance on complex technical challenges
Stay up to date with technological developments and translate them into actionable architectural improvements
Experience with IoT platforms, AI-driven solutions, or data-intensive architectures is considered a plus
What We Look For
Completed bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant field
Fluent in English and Dutch
Cloud platforms: Azure (AWS / Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can be considered as a plus)
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep
Containers & orchestration: Docker (Kubernetes is considered a plus)
Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems
Knowledge of modern architecture patterns
Ability to design across both backend and frontend system landscapes at architectural level
