The Mechanical Assembler will contribute to the multinational manufacturing of GF Piping Systems; instrumentation, serving microelectronics, semiconductor, water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, building technologies, and life sciences market segments.

We are seeking a highly motivated and Mechanical Assembler that assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assemble various types of valves (e.g., ball, gate, butterfly, check, and safety relief valves) and actuation packages using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.

• Reads, interprets, and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.

• Testing and Calibration: Perform pressure testing, functional testing, and calibration of valves and components to verify performance, leak integrity, and compliance with standards. Use precision tools like gauges, micrometers, and calipers to measure tolerances.

• Inspection and Troubleshooting: Inspect valve components for defects, wear, or damage. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with valves, actuators, or instrumentation.

• Repair and Maintenance: Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble valves and related equipment. Replace defective parts and lubricate mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.onlinedegree.commynextmove.org Documentation: Record test results, maintenance activities, and material usage on work orders, field service reports, or digital systems.

• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies, including drug and alcohol policies. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to improve assembly processes and resolve issues. Train or assist less experienced technicians as needed.

• Exhibit comfortability in shop or field environments.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma required. Vocational training, trades school, or an associate’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or related fields is preferred.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on Valve Assembly/repair/closely related experience

• Actuation experience as a plus

• Ability to understand and read blueprints and dimensions

• Fabrication Experience

• Assembly experience; piping, frames, skids, mechanical equipment

• Custom manufacturing experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Detail orientated

• Experience with Saws, Drills, Presses, grinders, measuring tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work independently or in a team.

• Basic computer literacy for documentation and tracking tasks.
