Job Description
The Inpatient Services Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for the Medical/Surgical, ICU, and Transitional Care/Swing units at the Monticello Hospital. Reporting to the Director of Acute Care, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, daily operations, performance outcomes, and financial management of assigned departments and cost centers.
This dynamic leadership position supports an 18-bed Medical/Surgical unit and a 3-bed ICU, while collaborating closely with campus nurse leaders and interdisciplinary teams across the organization. The Manager of Inpatient Services directly oversees approximately 40 employees and plays an integral role within the hospital’s leadership team.
Key responsibilities include driving quality and patient safety initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, improving patient access and experience, and fostering employee engagement and development. This role regularly partners with physicians, department leaders, staff, patients, community members, and board representatives to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks
- Day shift | Monday - Friday | 8am-4:30pm
- Occasional shift time adjustments based on business need
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $124,030.40 annually; exact wage will be determined by years of related experience.
- Pay range: $124,030.40-$186,430.40 annually.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required AND
- Master's Degree in Nursing, leadership, or closely related field required
- Registered Nurse (RN) Current RN license in Minnesota required
- 5 years nursing experience required
- 3 years experience in healthcare leadership required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of Joint Commission/DNV, MDH standards and various other regulatory standards
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong interpersonal human relations skills
