Job Description – ServiceNow Developer (IRM & SecOps VR)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with ~3 years of platform experience and hands-on exposure to Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Security Operations – Vulnerability Response (SecOps VR). The role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable GRC and security solutions aligned with industry frameworks and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions across IRM and SecOps Vulnerability Response modules
  • Implement and customize:
    • Risk Management (risk register, assessments, KRI/KPI)
    • Policy & Compliance workflows
    • Vulnerability Response lifecycle (ingestion, prioritization, remediation tracking)
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and integrations
  • Integrate ServiceNow with security tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, etc.)
  • Support data ingestion, normalization, and CMDB alignment for vulnerability context
  • Create and maintain scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, APIs)
  • Build dashboards and reports for risk posture and vulnerability tracking
  • Participate in requirement gathering, design workshops, and solution configuration
  • Perform unit testing, support UAT, and assist in deployments
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, security standards, and governance policies

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow platform development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • IRM modules (Risk, Policy & Compliance, Issues)
    • SecOps – Vulnerability Response
  • Proficiency in:
    • JavaScript, Glide APIs, ServiceNow scripting
    • Flow Designer / Workflow
    • REST/SOAP integrations
  • Experience with CMDB, CSDM fundamentals, and data models
  • Understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle and risk frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (mandatory/preferred)
  • Additional certifications in:
    • IRM
    • Security Operations
  • Exposure to automated vulnerability ingestion and orchestration
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience on the ServiceNow platform development
  • Practical exposure to IRM (Risk/Policy Compliance) and SecOps Vulnerability Response modules
  • ServiceNow CSA certification preferred; additional IRM/SecOps certifications are a plus
