Job Description:
The Storehouse Technician receives, ships, and stocks material in the Products Storehouse.
Key Accountabilities
Receives, distributes and manages stock and non-stock materials.
Codes, analyzes, and manages inventory.
Researches, purchases and expedites inventoried and non-inventoried items.
Researches opportunities for investment recovery of routine maintenance and project materials and supports the site in a customer service-focused role.
Ships, receives, and coordinates inbound and outbound domestic and international freight, including hazardous materials.
Assists with resolution of inventory, purchasing and accounting issues.
Works safely in accordance with site and company policies and procedures.
Performs assigned responsibilities relating to the purchase, receipt and control of inventory.
Receives, distributes and manages direct items including maintenance, project, turnaround, surplus material and equipment.
Assists with purchasing and expediting activities related to material releases.
Receives deliveries and verifies material matches purchase order/requisition and performs Positive Material Identification as required.
Manages relationships with vendors, suppliers and both internal and external customers.
Complies with BP’s Code of Conduct and models BP’s Values & Behaviors.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience operating a forklift in a process safety sensitive area is required.
Experience with inventory management computer systems is required.
Inventory or purchasing experience is required.
Thorough knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
Normal day shift work is 4/10 working schedule with rotating weekend shift.
The ability to work overtime and night shifts will be required based on activity and workload.
Role has rotational assignments that involve physical labor, operating material handling equipment as well as office duties.
Requires ability to work alone without supervision during the shift.
Required to be able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Must be able to safely lift at least 50 lbs.

How much do we pay? Our hourly rate starts at $41.14 for Tech 1 with the opportunity to advance to $58.34 for Tech 5, plus overtime.
This position is eligible for Core U.S. Benefits. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees. You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
