Job Summary
The Senior Manager, IT – Manufacturing leads end-to-end delivery of technology programs and projects that enable and optimize manufacturing operations within the global Production Execution Capability. This role partners closely with Plant Operations, and IT product/service teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions across manufacturing sites. The position is accountable for project governance, project delivery performance (scope/schedule/cost), vendor execution, and successful adoption of solutions under manufacturing capabilities as well as being a full stack application owner.
This role requires exceptional leadership and communication, with a focus on enhancing/improving project & service delivery, operational excellence and reliability, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Own delivery of manufacturing projects from initiation through Hypercare, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution and measurable business outcomes.
Establish and lead project governance: charters, stage gates, risk/issue management, decision logs, and steering committee cadence.
Drive integrated plans across IT, OT/automation, process engineering, validation, cybersecurity, and vendors; manage interdependencies across sites and systems.
Ensure strong change management and readiness planning (training, SOP updates, cutover, support model) to drive adoption at the shop floor.
Coordinate solution design with enterprise architecture and manufacturing standards to ensure repeatability across plants and alignment to roadmaps.
Maintain appropriate documentation, testing evidence, and operational handover artifacts.
Build project estimates and budgets, manage forecasts, PO spend, and benefits tracking.
Develop and mentor project managers and delivery leads, promote standard delivery practices and continuous improvement.
Serve as a trusted IT partner to plant leadership, communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Align global and site stakeholders on priorities, sequencing, and operational impacts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in project delivery role and/or Application Management
Demonstrated experience delivering solutions in manufacturing environments (discrete, process, or regulated manufacturing).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and integration patterns (including integration to shop floor and integration to ERP.
Proven track record managing complex cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and multi-site deployments.
Expertise in project delivery methods (waterfall/hybrid/agile), governance, resource and financial management.
Proven experience in a global manufacturing environment with on premise and cloud environments
Working Conditions / Travel
Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed (typically 20–30%, depending on project phase).
Occasional off-hours support during cutovers or critical production windows and incidents
