Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technology FinOps Manager to lead and strengthen technology financial operations across the organization. This role will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial governance of technology spending, including vendor management, contract management, cost allocation, and compliance. The role partners closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement, Business stakeholders and vendors/suppliers to deliver transparency, control, and insights into technology investments.
The ideal candidate brings 10–12 years of experience in technology financial management, vendor financial operations, and IT cost governance, with a strong ability to lead teams and drive process improvement and automation.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Centralized Technology purchase administration:
• Manage centralized purchase administration and contract management for all Technology department transactions, ensuring defined SLAs are consistently met.
• Partner closely with Procurement, IT, and Finance teams to align vendor financial management with organizational goals.
• Act as a key liaison for vendor financial discussions, escalations, and performance reviews.
B. Cost Management & Chargebacks:
• Maintain strong oversight of technology cost tracking, allocation, and chargeback mechanisms to business units.
• Provide actionable insights into spend trends, variances, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Support project‑level cost tracking and alignment with budgetary controls.
C. Technology Financial Operations & Governance:
• Manage and monitor vendor‑related financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, payments, receipts (GRN).
• Oversee the financial aspects of IT contracts, renewals, amendments, and vendor engagements.
• Ensure adherence to contractual terms, internal financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Review vendor contracts for financial accuracy, compliance to internal policies and risk mitigation.
D. Automation & Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to the evolution of Technology Business Management (TBM) and FinOps practices.
• Support and drive enhancements and automation initiatives to improve financial reporting accuracy, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
• Deliver high‑quality financial reporting and dashboards for technology stakeholders.
E. People & Resource Management:
• Oversee time management and financial tracking for internal technology staff and third‑party consultants.
• Manage, mentor, and guide team members within technology financial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial management, vendor management, procurement and contract administration, preferably within a technology environment.
• Strong understanding of IT financial management/ FinOps.
• Hands‑on experience with financial, procurement systems, CLM tools such as Oracle, Coupa, iCertis or equivalent platforms.
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, project‑level cost tracking, and IT cost taxonomy.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, including CAPEX vs. OPEX, fixed assets, and capitalization policies.
