Robotics Senior Sales Engineer
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer covering the Southern Region of the UK and part of Ireland working within the North East European Robotics Region. The main responsibilities for this role are::
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of Sales activity associated with General Industry (GI) in the defined geographic area.
- Establishing initial identification, technical specification and development of robotic opportunities within Customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), End Users (EU’s) and Systems Integrators (SI’s).
- Increase the Stäubli market share across General Industry.
- Formulate and implement a development plan for the allocated geographic area.
- Achieve Sales targets as agreed with the Robotic Divisional Manager.
- Sell and promote the full-range of Stäubli robots; including industrial robots and AGV’s.
- Ensure that all opportunities and initial technical specifications are processed efficiently; making sure these are followed up in a timely manner.
- Update all Sales activities in the Company CRM system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular market research including analysis of both Customers and Competitors to ensure an up to date awareness of the market and potential opportunities.
- Attend relevant Industry Trade Shows/Conferences when required.
- Work in collaboration with the wider Robotics Division.
- Attend and participate in Sales and Divisional Meetings.
- Actively coordinate with other Divisions (Fluid Connectors and Electrical Connectors).
- Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales experience in robotics, industrial automation, control technology, special-purpose machine manufacturing, or a related technical sales environment.
- Knowledge of AGV/AMR applications, markets and customer requirements would be a distinct advantage.
- Solid technical understanding in the field of robotics or industrial automation.
- An existing network of contacts within industry EU’s, OEM’s and SI’s with an understanding of their push, pull and pain points are.
- Confident use of CRM systems and common MS Office applications
- Team player with the ability to work independently, including self-management of travel schedules, customer appointments, sales pipeline development and territory planning.
- Driven and dynamic individual.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
