General Job Description
- Set up and efficiently operate product forming, proofing, baking, and cooling equipment
- Ensure a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols
- Assemble and dismantle equipment required for production runs
- Maintain and submit required documentation:
- Downtime sheets
- Weight sheets
- Raw material usage sheets
- Product loss forms
- Specification sheets
- Oversee product flow from divider-sheeter through:
- Proofer
- Oven
- Cooling spiral
- Packing line
- Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify supervision/maintenance of needed repairs
- Perform wash-down and sanitation procedures as required
- Inspect equipment for cleanliness and mechanical issues prior to setup
- Minimize loss of raw materials and supplies
- Complete all QA checks and documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with QA, HACCP, GMP, and company policies
- Enter and manage data in the CAT2 system
- Learn and operate off-line equipment as needed
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to work in temperature extremes (60°F – 120°F) with moderate noise
- 6 months work experience operating production machinery in manufacturing facility. Must have 6months of work history in the past 12 months.
