Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Artesia, NM is seeking an Accountant. In this role, you will conduct complex accounting assignments for the Accounting department with minimal supervision and act as resource and lead position for less experienced personnel.
Job Duties
- Maintains General Ledger Accounts and account reconciliations
- Performs various reconciliations and may perform intercompany billings as needed
- Analyzes and manipulates various Company and/or financial data and records at a high level
- Monitors the timely completion of routine to complex staff accounting duties
- Oversees day-to-day accounting operations
- Completes and may supervise special projects as required
- Performs inventory valuations
- Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff
- Performs various assigned financial calculations
- May create, coordinate, and maintain assigned schedules
- Prepares and monitors various reports and resolves discrepancies as needed
- May review various contracts, invoices and other financial data to ensure accuracy
- May record/amortize swaps, hedging and various debt instruments
Special assignments projects or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
