The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Graduate will play a hands-on role in keeping Amazon's Fulfilment Centre (FC) running at peak performance. Working alongside experienced Engineering Technicians, you'll gain exposure to both reactive and proactive maintenance across a wide range of automated systems and facilities infrastructure. You will contribute to real projects, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and see firsthand how equipment reliability directly impacts site productivity, throughput, and customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
Manage cross-functional project lifecycles across organizations and geographies, ensuring delivery of objectives and targets.

Learn to install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, packaging machines, labelling machines, HVAC and other operational equipment

Work directly with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting any of the following: relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, sorters and encoders

Develop practical skills working on PLCs and PLC programs, with opportunities to troubleshoot ladder logic, components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet)

Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working across the site

Build expertise in repairing and maintaining Bus Systems such as profibus and asibus

Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels in the organisation

Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage tasks under high pressure

Support data collection and analysis of equipment performance metrics (e.g., OEE) to identify improvement opportunities

Participate in team meetings, safety huddles, and shift handovers

Lead projects related to execution of systems and automated equipment designs, overseeing installation, throughput, and safety qualifications while optimizing processes

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis

A day in the life
You are managing one or multiple projects that can vary in scope, complexity, and duration. Daily tasks may comprise of site coordination with operations teams and contractors on project execution activities or changes; deep diving project progress, schedule and resources, while identifying barriers, creating solutions and driving resolutions. You may be facilitating the planning and/or implementation meetings with projects’ stakeholders, ensuring alignment in objectives, expectations, and the next steps; you would capture and publish detailed notes after each meeting to drive ownership and follow-through on the actions and decisions. You may be brainstorming and developing workaround solutions while mitigating the project delays or design issues. In addition, you may be supporting/training other engineering team members, utilizing the knowledge of Amazon’s safety, mechanical, electrical and controls installation standard and guidelines. Key competencies of this position include insisting on the highest standards ensuring that contracted resources meet schedule, budgetary, safety and quality targets; analyzing and deep diving systems’ performance, inventing and simplifying solutions that allow for improved processes and results; and
providing technical expertise to customers and stakeholders. You are looked to as authority for risk analysis and problem solving.

- Recent graduate (within 24 months) or currently in your final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate university degree/qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical majors) or similar technical discipline
- Any exposure to hands-on experience or previous work experience/internship in a maintenance focused role
- Any experience or exposure to using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Understanding OEE and equipment performance metrics.
- Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving mind set with proactive issue resolution

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
- Understanding of Six Sigma principles
- Exposure working in a multi-site environment
- Knowledge in OEE and EAM tools
- Previous work experience in a related field or business.
