JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Operations Coordinator primarily ensures that the execution of events and projects are properly met by filling orders, warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trailers, traveling to events, building/tearing down structures, and playing an integral role during events. You will work as part of a team to achieve successful set-up and execution of event productions to set procedures and standard practice.
This role requires the ability to travel to 25-30 events per year and may require non-standard work hours, based on business needs. You must be organized, punctual, and flexible, as needs may change at a moment’s notice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Loading and unloading staging equipment, ensuring inventory is retrieved and returned to its proper place in the warehouse
- Manage an onsite crew of both contractors, labor and other full time Operations coordinators.
- Traveling to events such as NASCAR, Indycar, golf tournaments, and other activations in the entertainment industry
- On-site execution at events including hands-on building and tearing down of stage structures and other assets
- Attending daily operations meetings and establish tasks for the day
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 2+ years’ experience in event productions or operations experience
- 2+ years’ experience in forklift operating and other heavy machinery or ability to obtain Forklift certification
- General knowledge of construction or fabrication techniques
- Skilled in using basic power tools and wrenches
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
- Skilled in making decisions in a time-critical manner
- Skilled in driving a 26’ box truck and/or pickup truck and trailer
- Ability to obtain DOT medical card
- Ability to work and communicate with different types of personnel (executives, officials, management, supervisors, A/V/L coordinators, clerical personnel, logistics personnel, contract laborers)
- Ability to perform basic math conversions
- Ability to fly on commercial airlines
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be punctual
NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (example: Flex) preferred
