Have you worked within insurance
We're looking for organised, adaptable and reliable Motor Claims Handlers to join our Motor Trade team
You'll be logging new claims, answering inbound calls and dealing with inbound correspondence from customers, brokers and third parties
You'll liaise with multiple stakeholders regarding vehicle repairs, hire and storage, as well as solicitors and our internal underwriting team
Key responsibilities: Logging new claims and seeing them through to closure
Updating customers at all points of their claims journey
Investigating claims to make appropriate decisions regarding liability
Taking inbound calls from customers, third parties and solicitors
Identifying potential fraud indicators where appropriate
Working towards individual and team performance targets
Provide empathetic and professional support to customers during their claim
Building strong working relationships with brokers
Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers
You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future
Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events

Working hours & shift pattern: You’ll work full time, 35 hours per week over 5 days
Induction & training: We have a comprehensive induction plan to set you up for success
For the first 12 weeks you'll join our training academy, where you'll be required to attend in the office Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Your skills & experience: Experience in Motor Claims is essential
Property claims experience is preferable
Credit hire experience is preferable
Strong negotiation skills
Clear and confident telephone manner
Able to manage own time effectively
Self-motivated with a positive work ethic and attitude
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to change and able to manage shifting priorities
Able to use different computer systems simultaneously
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years
