- Bachelor�s Degree in related field Preferred
- 3 years of office/admistrative experience required, to include a minimum of one year of experience working in a Gwinnett County school as a Student Data Management Clerk Required
- 3 years of scheduling with a Student Information System (SIS) experience Preferred
- Ability to work and communicate with others in an effective and professional manner
- Ability to support the needs of local school scheduling staff
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to operate in a Windows environment and various integrated applications
- Ability to reason logically
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to act as a representative of Gwinnett County Public Schools
Provide training and support to local schools for the overall collection and maintenance of data for the student information system in support of effective instructional practices, communication, and operational efficiency of student information, ensure data quality compliance, create and execute queries, and provide data and reports to local school staff, central office staff, and schools outside of the district.
- Provide training and support for local SDMC�s with accurate and timely entry and processing of student information .
- Facilitate timely and accurate data collection for assigned schools for State and Federal reporting procedures .
- Provide support and assistance to assigned schools with data collection necessary for student information reporting.
- Communicate regularly with schools via phone, email, virtual meeting and site visits.
- Support and maintain the established SIS acceptable use policy for data entry at the school level.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of necessary support and training materials for student data management clerks district-wide.
- Respond to any training needs identified by the schools related to data collection and reporting .
- Facilitate data gathering, data entry, and data accuracy for FTE, graduation cohort, withdrawal reasons, College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), and other such national, state, and local reporting.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
