Senior Transaction Screening Analyst | S&E
Job Description
Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Senior Transaction Screening Analyst to join its S&E (Sanctions & Embargoes) team, within the CSG (Client Support Group) of the BSA (Banking Support Activities) department.
Along with its subsidiaries and branches, our company is subject to a variety of international, local and internal laws and policies, including regulations from French, European, American and UN authorities, as well as those from other jurisdictions where Groupe BPCE operates. To be compliant with all those regulations, Natixis has implemented a control framework within the Operations Department.
The S&E team analyzes a large volume of customer transactions in real time, providing due diligence on the alerts which have been screened. It’s crucial to understand and respect the risk, priorities, cut-offs, volumes volatility and the high-quality standards performed in the investigations.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will review L1 alerts generated by an internal tool and conduct the S&E transaction screening process, taking appropriate action to mitigate or escalate transactions as the first Level of Defense (LoD) by applying the established procedures.
- Taking on responsibility for handling L1 alerts identified by the software tool.
- Detect and react to operational and client priorities.
- Perform investigations using web open sources, internal tools and client contact.
- Detect false alerts and pursue standard procedures to implement corrective actions.
- Investigate and escalate alerts following the operational standards and guidelines.
- Report any atypical transactions, incidents/findings and/or any other situation that impacts the good performance of the team.
- Provide regular standard reports to senior management informing alert natures, status and potential issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all transaction screening alerts and investigations, as well as any related documentation or reports.
Hard Skills
- Higher education in Law, International Relations or other relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Sanctions & Embargoes Live Transaction Monitoring, using Fircosoft (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in French (highly valued).
