The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN, we are looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer with Mechanical or Electrical background who is excited to innovate, solve problems, and elevate how our products are made. In this role, you’ll help design, refine, and implement the processes and tools that power our manufacturing performance—ensuring that our products are built safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.
You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional partners, contribute to hands‑on troubleshooting, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Every day, you’ll apply engineering concepts, data insights, and creative thinking to optimize manufacturing outcomes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Track project progress, maintain detailed records, and uphold quality and schedule standards.
Perform engineering assignments across a range of technical activities.
Develop work instructions, standard work, and job aids for manufacturing teams.
Create technical specifications to support equipment selection and procurement.
Design tools and equipment to enhance and streamline manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot issues hands‑on within a production environment.
Build, update, and analyze process recipes across multiple digital systems.
Lead and participate in Kaizen and process excellence events using lean principles.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; equivalent experience and demonstrated accomplishments may be considered.
Must have 10 years of engineering experience.
Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Experience applying engineering concepts in a manufacturing or technical environment.
Ability to follow internal and external regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to resolve routine engineering challenges.
Familiarity with engineering software tools and basic data analysis.
