Job Description

University Health Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, clinical leader to oversee our residential services over the weekends. This unique leadership role supports clients with severe and persistent mental illness across our diverse housing continuum, including four intensive group homes and three supportive housing sites (residential clustered apartments). If you are a social worker, counselor, or behavioral health leader looking for a rewarding management role with a compressed schedule, this position offers the perfect opportunity to make a systemic impact.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to provide clinical leadership and structural continuity when our sites need it most. You will lead a dedicated weekend team of Mental Health Technicians, providing the real-time guidance, crisis intervention, and mentorship necessary to help clients thrive in their recovery journeys. We foster a deeply supportive, team-oriented environment where your professional growth is prioritized. This position is ideal for an experienced bachelors-level professional or a clinician currently pursuing a master’s degree who wants to maintain full-time benefits while freeing up their weekdays for classes, internships, or personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Oversee clinical operations, staffing, and milieu management across four group homes and three supportive housing apartment sites during weekend hours.

  • Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support Mental Health Techs working across day, evening, and overnight weekend shifts to ensure high-quality, consistent client care.

  • Clinical Guidance: Oversee immediate clinical needs, crisis de-escalation, and the implementation of treatment plans, utilizing Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) principles.

  • Collaborative Continuity: Partner closely with weekday Residential Managers and the Director of Residential Housing to ensure seamless communication, shift handoffs, and care coordination.

  • Atmosphere of Recovery: Foster a compassionate, inclusive, and stable environment that promotes client independence while empowering weekend staff.

Perks of the Position

  • Compressed Full-Time Schedule: Work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, leaving your Monday through Thursday completely open.

  • Full Benefits Package: Enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits despite working a three-day workweek.

  • Advanced Training: Receive specialized training in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), a transformative, evidence-based practice.

  • Dedicated Leadership Support: Work under a Director of Residential Housing who is deeply committed to work-life balance, attentiveness to management needs, and sustainable scheduling.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education & Experience Option 1: Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited program in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field approved by the State of Missouri. Must be a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) or licensed/licensable (e.g., LMSW, PLPC, LCSW, LPC) in the State of Missouri.

  • Education & Experience Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with significant, demonstrated leadership and clinical experience working with the behavioral health population.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health, with a preference for prior supervisory, case management, or residential housing experience.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to lead multicultural staff and serve diverse client populations.

  • Driving Compliance: Must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and maintain these requirements as a condition of employment.

  • Training: Completion of all required orientation and leadership training within the established company timeline.
