Design Manager
Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Design Manager. The Candidate will join the Building & Places Team, which provides services on large-scale real estate and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex real estate projects, pulling the right resources across the company to support project needs. Responsibilities:
- Manage and support public procurement procedures for engineering and architectural services in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and coordinate technical and administrative tender documentation and contribute to technical and financial bids.
- Perform design management activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment between design outputs, contractual requirements, scope, schedule, and quality.
- Monitor design deliverables, interfaces, and approval processes during tender and contract execution phases.
- Manage relationships with contracting authorities, Project Managers (RUP), and relevant stakeholders.
- Support post-award contract management, including service start-up, design changes, and contractual amendments.
- Ensure proper digital document management, traceability, and risk mitigation throughout procurement and execution processes.
We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:
- Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering and consulting firm
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Capability to work with BIM/2D Civil/Architectural software (Revit, AutoCad, Civil3D, etc.) and good understanding of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and Project.
- Motivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
- Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
- Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
