As a Crew Leader, you will oversee daily landscaping operations and lead a field crew to deliver high-quality results. This hands-on role is responsible for supervising a landscaping crew of 2-5 employees, coordinating tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys leading teams in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise landscaping crew members during daily maintenance and/or installation activities
Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
Perform landscaping work including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, and clean-up as needed
Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and client expectations
Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce company safety policies
Operate and oversee use of landscaping equipment and tools
Inspect equipment and vehicles and report maintenance needs
Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs with supervisors or account managers
Maintain accurate time tracking, job documentation, and site reports
Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and property stakeholders
Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations.
Managing multiple services that can include any of the following: spray operations, fertilization, maintenance production, tree care, and irrigation
Planning, organizing and managing work for crew members at each client site location
Conducting safety, equipment and timekeeping training
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2–3 years of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience
Prior experience leading or supervising a crew
Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and safety practices
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR check
Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in commercial landscaping, HOAs, or large property maintenance
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
Experience training and mentoring crew members
Ability to read site plans, work orders, or schedules
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems or landscape enhancements
Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
Interest in career growth into operations management or account management roles
