As a Shopper Insights Lead for the Grocery Channel, you will be a senior strategic partner—unlocking transformative insights that influence enterprise decisions and strengthen our leadership with key retail partners.

Role Summary

The Shopper Insights Lead for Grocery is a highly strategic, senior role responsible for leading shopper understanding across national and regional grocery retailers. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Marketing, Category Leadership, and senior executives—shaping long-term growth strategies through deep expertise in shopper behavior, category dynamics, and omnichannel grocery trends.

Key Responsibilities

Grocery Channel Leadership

· Serve as the senior shopper insights lead across national and regional grocery customers (e.g., Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, Ahold Delhaize, H-E-B)

· Build a holistic view of the grocery shopper across in-store, pickup, and delivery ecosystems

· Identify macro trends and emerging behaviors shaping the future of grocery retail

Strategic Influence & Business Impact

· Act as a thought partner to senior Sales and Marketing leaders to shape annual and long-range planning

· Influence enterprise-level decisions on assortment strategy, pricing architecture, promotion effectiveness, and category growth initiatives

· Lead insight development for high-stakes customer engagements and executive-level presentations

Advanced Insight Generation

· Design and oversee complex, multi-method research programs (quantitative, qualitative, behavioral, and digital analytics)

· Integrate diverse data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI, retailer loyalty data, household panel, digital shelf analytics) into cohesive, insight-driven narratives

· Translate insights into clear, prioritized recommendations tied to business outcomes

Team Leadership & Capability Building

· Mentor and develop junior insights talent, fostering strong analytical and storytelling capabilities

· Elevate the role of shopper insights as a strategic growth driver across the organization

· Establish best practices and frameworks for grocery-focused insights work

Qualifications

Required

· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred

· 10–12+ years of a successful track record in shopper/consumer insights and primary market research

· Deep expertise in grocery retail, with experience supporting national and/or regional grocery accounts

· Advanced proficiency with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI), loyalty data, and omnichannel analytics

· Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business impact through insights

· Strong leadership experience, including mentoring or managing team members

· Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$141,500.00 - $176,900.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
