As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in establishing and embedding a world-class Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) framework at our new Dubai manufacturing site. As one of the first EHS hires on-site, you will work closely with the Site EHS Manager to build, implement, and continuously improve Eaton’s MESH (Management System for Environment, Safety & Health) standards.
You will act as a trusted partner across functions, driving compliance, training, and a strong safety culture from the ground up in a fast-paced, growing environment.
What you’ll do:
- First EHS hire on a new (greenfield) Dubai site, helping build the function from scratch
- Support implementation of Eaton’s MESH (global safety system) across the plantAct as a key EHS partner to operations, driving safety culture and compliance
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and documentationLead risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations (RCA/8D)
- Ensure compliance with UAE, JAFZA, and Trakhees regulations
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors
- Prepare the site for team growth (future EHS hires) and long-term scalability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Skills:
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (Level 6 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE EHS regulations (JAFZA / Trakhees preferred)
- Experience implementing or managing EHS management systems
- Proven ability in:
- Risk assessments & audits
- Incident investigation (RCA, 8D)
- EHS training delivery and coordination
- Understanding of machine safety, PPE, and contractor management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a growing, fast-changing environment
