About the Opportunity:

Our team is growing and are we looking for proactive and collaborative professionals of all levels to work within us in providing a range of services to our clients. With our deep technical, commercial, and strategic expertise we develop solutions that address our client’s critical challenges supporting digitalisation and security.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with experience of working on Submarines and Ships Combat Systems across the full engineering lifecycle. You will play a key role in shaping complex Defence systems from concept through to design and delivery, ensuring robust, coherent solutions that underpin mission-critical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Elicit, analyse, and manage stakeholder and system requirements, ensuring traceability across the lifecycle.
Develop system architectures and design artefacts, including functional, logical, and physical views.
Contribute to the development of interface definitions and integration considerations across systems.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and integration teams to ensure coherent and feasible system designs.
Support verification and validation planning, ensuring requirements are testable and aligned to acceptance criteria.
Support operations in an in-build environment and provide guidance on system installation.
Support verification and validation activities to ensure progressive acceptance through the lifecycle.
Contribute to systems engineering documentation and governance artefacts in line with MOD and industry standards.
Here's What You'll Need:
Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex programmes.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within Defence environments with a strong understanding of combat systems principles and lifecycle models (e.g. V-model, Agile, hybrid approaches).
Experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle, with a focus on requirements, architecture, and design phases.
Experience in requirements engineering, including elicitation, analysis, and management.
Ability to develop system architecture artefacts and design documentation, with an understanding of system integration concepts, interfaces, and dependencies.
Experience supporting integration and V&V activities, with an understanding of how designs translate into testable systems.
Awareness of MOD frameworks and governance environments.
Understanding of requirements management and modelling tools (e.g. DOORS, SparxEA.
