A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Software Engineering Technician in the MKS Power Solutions software group, you will collaborate with engineering teams and customers to develop power delivery systems for semiconductor manufacturing processes. In this role, you will report to one of the SW Team managers.
We are looking for a candidate to bring Embedded SW experience to our team, at the same time, we are offering great learning opportunities in Software engineering and control systems to support the candidates in their career path.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Support the developments, troubleshoots and debugs SW implementations controlling the power supplies delivering advanced control to plasma in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Support and maintains test environments to validate the behaviors against specifications and real-world applications.
- Support investigation of issues reported by customers and/or engineering teams.
- Provide basic investigation and initial technical analysis as a part of the problem solving process.
- Implement, test, and debug embedded and application software
- Consumes and understand PCB schematics.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to support system integration and support other functional teams, like system, reliability, manufacturing, field application engineers to troubleshoot, guide, support and test our products.
- Produces maintainable documents providing technical information.
- Follows the SW development process to work collaboratively to design, prototype, implement, test, validate, review, debug embedded system architectures with team members.
- Travel Requirements: occasional Travel might be is required.
Skills You Bring:
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience in power electronics or digital control systems.
- 3+ years related experience.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of electrical/mechanical/test engineering
- Experience of C or Python language
- Hands-on laboratory experience and familiarity with electronic test equipment required.
- Good communication, documentation & organizational skills.
- Basic office skills, like interacting with corporate ERP systems, outlook and office suite
- Ability to work in a team environment is required
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Domestic & international travel (occasional)
- Occasional work hour flexibility to accommodate international conferencing and deadlines
- Constantly operates computers, test equipment and other office productivity machinery
- This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment
