Job Description
- Ensure adherence to ServSafe guidelines and all local health department regulations
- Monitor food temperatures, storage practices, and sanitation logs daily
- Maintain readiness for brand audits and health inspections
- Train and coach team members on food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Execute breakfast program standards (presentation, portioning, replenishment, and timing)
- Manage food, beverage, and supply inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor waste and implement controls to reduce loss and improve profitability
- Order supplies according to occupancy forecasts and brand pars
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation (FIFO) of all products
- Ensure all kitchen, prep, and service areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Enforce daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Address maintenance or sanitation issues promptly
- Enforce structured cleaning schedules before, during, and after service
- Supervise daily front- and back-of-house operations in a limited service setting
- Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate service for all guests
- Resolve guest concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Support staff during peak times to maintain service standards
- Create schedules based on occupancy and service demand
- Hold team members accountable to brand standards, cleanliness, and service expectations
- Provide coaching and support to improve productivity and consistency
- Train and supervise breakfast attendants and food service staff
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and accountability
- Foster a positive, productive team environment focused on service and efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality or culinary background preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience in food service or hotel environment
- Current ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
- Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
