The Sr. Associate II, Analytical Chemistry (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) is primarily responsible for performing complex qualitative and quantitative analyses to confirm the identity, purity, and homogeneity of compounds and products. You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop analytical methods and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic and inorganic compounds and finished products
• Investigate physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of materials, including packaging and formulation dosage forms
• Conduct research to develop or improve analytical techniques and methodologies
• Collaborate with Analytical, Formulation, Process, Packaging, and Device scientists or engineers within Ocular Health
• Organize and interpret data using a variety of instrumental technologies
• Design studies or develop non-standard procedures of higher complexity
• Troubleshoot moderate complexity problems and develop practical solutions
• Execute studies and conduct testing without Quality deviation
• Document experiments in laboratory notebooks or batch records in a GLP-compliant manner
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, preparing accurate technical documents and offering assistance to co-workers
• Support the business through efficient, effective, and innovative science and solutions
• Provide technical advice and counsel to lower-level professionals
• Analyze polymers and contact lenses using mechanical, thermal, rheological, surface, and permeability techniques
• Manage laboratory activities, including equipment maintenance and supplies
• Act as a subject matter expert and handle high-impact projects with strategic thinking and problem-solving
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve broader business objectives, leading initiatives, proposing innovative solutions, and mentoring mid-level or junior colleaguesAll associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations​.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

4-7 years of total experience with Analytical Chemistry, material science & Engineering, Bio-Technology, technical writing, report writing, research.

  • Associate shall have the appropriate education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities/activities of this role.
  • Synthesize/Analyze data from external and internal lab testing sources into an Electronic Lab Notebook in addition to accurate, concise technical reports in order to support manufacturing changes and investigations.
  • Understand relevant ISO standards to medical device testing including but not limited to extractables and leachables, biocompatibility, and toxicology testing.
  • Understand applicable USP, EP, JP, and internal NOC test methods for raw materials used in pharmaceutical and medical device products.

Work hours: 3 PM to 12 PM (Noon) IST
