Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Controls Manager to support the planning, monitoring, and control of industrial projects at the project site office. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining project control systems, tracking cost and schedule performance, managing risks and changes, and providing accurate reporting and decision support to the Project Manager and key stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement project control systems in line with internal procedures, client requirements, and contractual obligations, including the preparation of guidelines, templates, and control tools.
  • Monitor and report project progress by tracking performance indicators such as SPI and CPI, analyzing deviations from baseline plans, and issuing regular progress, cost, and risk reports.
  • Carry out risk assessments and maintain the project risk register by identifying risks, evaluating impacts, and defining mitigation and contingency measures together with project teams.
  • Collect and analyze project data related to cost, schedule, scope, and resources to deliver reliable forecasts and support management decision making.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and executive summaries tailored to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear, transparent, and timely communication.
  • Support resource planning and project scheduling activities, including schedule reviews and updates, milestone tracking, critical path management, and coordination with discipline leads to optimize resources.
  • Facilitate project meetings such as progress reviews, planning workshops, and risk sessions, and maintain all related documentation including minutes, change logs, and action registers.
  • Ensure effective change control through the registration, assessment, approval, and integration of change requests into project documentation.
  • Assist the Project Manager with stakeholder engagement and communication, maintaining a consistent and timely flow of information between internal teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Perform other project controls and coordination duties as assigned by the Project Manager or the Employer’s authorized representatives, in line with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Project management experience with solid knowledge of project management processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Proven experience working on industrial projects.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Ability to work under a one year contract with the possibility of prolongation.
  • Willingness to work from the project site office.
  • Ability to commute independently to the project site office located in Yntymak village, Ili district.
  • Availability to start work on May 1st, 2026.
