About This Role: 

As a Sr. Electrical Technician II, you'll be a pivotal member of our Facility Maintenance team, responsible for the electrical systems at our Luterbach manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and efficiency of medium and low voltage distributions, emergency generators, and fire detection systems across our campus, which includes a Central Utilities Building, Warehouse, and manufacturing sites. You'll manage daily support to the maintenance operations team, swiftly addressing electrical and equipment issues to ensure seamless manufacturing processes. Your role is crucial to maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, providing technical guidance, and coordinating electrical projects that enhance operational performance. You fit into our structure by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to electrical training programs, and supporting new system implementations. Your contributions will drive the reliability and compliance of our electrical systems, essential to our business success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and monitor all electrical systems supplying manufacturing, ensuring operational integrity.
  • Track and log readings through Building Management System and DeltaV control systems.
  • Respond to critical alarms and provide on-call service duty for electrical systems.
  • Conduct audits to ensure safety and compliance within electrical spaces.
  • Investigate equipment failures, providing expert troubleshooting and repair solutions.
  • Implement modifications to improve operational performance and compliance.
  • Participate in Reliability and Energy programs, tracking metrics for electrical equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling team on maintenance assessments and strategy.
  • Ensure documentation and procedures remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Engage in cross-site maintenance benchmarking and improvement meetings.
  • Provide electrical training to operators and technicians, reinforcing compliance standards.

Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial facilities, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Elektroinstallateur EFZ or equivalent education/training.
  • Complex knowledge of industrial communication protocols and installation standards.
  • Proficiency in English and German, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of GMP regulations and MS Office Suite.
  • Technical skills to operate and troubleshoot systems from 24VDC to 16KVAC.
  • Ability to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software tools such as Festo, ABB, Testo, Fluke, Rockwell.
  • Knowledge of programming and commissioning frequency drives.
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot medium/low voltage power distribution control systems.
