Job Description
To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing Ultrasound.
Education And Credentials
Degree or certificate in Diagnostic Ultrasound from a certified Ultrasound Program required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
(38009 -OCH Maternal Fetal Medicine). Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years required. Must become credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months of hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years of hire/transfer. Certification must be current and maintained for employees hired/transferred effective 10/30/01. Credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) upon hire preferred.
(38009 - OCH Maternal Fetal Medicine and 25062- Women's Health Clinic) Certification in nuchal translucency from the Fetal Medicine Foundation required within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintain thereafter. (38009 - OCH Maternal Fetal Medicine) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification specifically for OB/GYN required within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintained thereafter.
Experience
5 years of experience in Obstetrics Ultrasound preferred. 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, vascular experience in upper and lower extremities preferred. 1 year of Ultrasonography Technology or clinical rotation in hospital setting preferred.
