Working Student Collectibles

starting on the 15th August - part time - hybrid work model - 17.680 € p.a.

About the team and the role:

eBay’s Collectibles organization is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas of the business, connecting hard-working communities of buyers and sellers across categories including trading cards, arts & antiques, coins, and collectible toys.

As a Working Student in Category Management & Trading, you will support the team in driving commercial performance, seller engagement, and campaign execution across key Collectibles categories. This role offers hands-on experience in category management, from analyzing performance and identifying growth opportunities to supporting trading plans, seller activations, and promotional campaigns.

You will work closely with Category Managers and cross-functional partners across seller-facing teams, marketing, merchandising, and finance to help translate business priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

What you will accomplish:

  • Support the development and maintenance of trading plans, including key commercial events, seasonal priorities, and category growth initiatives.
  • Chip in to weekly and monthly trading reviews by preparing performance insights, updates, and action trackers that support business decision-making.
  • Identify seller and inventory opportunities that help improve category performance and support key trading moments.
  • Analyze category performance, customer behavior, market trends, and driven activity to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Compose reports, presentations, and data-driven insights to support collaborator discussions and commercial planning.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in supply, selection, and seller coverage, and support initiatives to strengthen category competitiveness.
  • Coordinate seller engagement activities, including campaign planning, seller communications, event preparation, and follow-up actions, while supporting broader category management and growth projects.

What you will bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program or having equivalent experience, ideally in Business, Economics, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in e-commerce, online marketplaces, category management, commercial strategy, and seller engagement.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects from planning through execution.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and collaborators.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English. German is a big plus.
