Functional Roles and Responsibilities
• Obtain the cutting list and drawing from the machine shop supervisor, prepare summary and check/allocate timber based on the density, moisture content, appearance and other specification required for the production.
• Assist machine shop supervisor in preparing Samples/ Mockup’s required for client/consultant approval.
• Organize cutting list and measurement of the various components in accordance with the approved drawing for the machine shop to start production.
• Supervise the work regularly, provide on the spot guidance to ensure high quality craftsmanship and keep machine shop supervisor posted on the progress of the work.
• Arrange movement of the various components to assembly section / paint shop in order to assemble the components in the form of a finished product in accordance with the sample
Education/Certification and Continued Education
• Trade Certificate in Mechanical and relevant experience in Carpentry/joinery Institute/workshop
Years of Experience
• 3 - 5 years experience in the same trade
